The Rev. José Martínez, Priest-in-Charge

 

An Anglican/Episcopal priest born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He  currently serves Zion Church on a half-time basis.  He is married to Herminia  Martínez.  They are the parents of three children and have eight grandchildren.

 
Fr. Martínez earned an Accountant’s Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree, and an Associate Degree in Computer Science in Guatemala City. He later earned a Bachelor’s Degree from New York University and a Master of Divinity from the General Theological Seminary in New York City.
 
Fr. Martínez and his wife travel annually to Guatemala City and Texas to visit their children and his mother.  These trips also serve as mission journeys, during which they bring school supplies, clothing, and other needed items to support the community.

Denise George, Parish Administrator

 

A resident of North Branford, Denise has been a parishioner since 2014. She started her position as parish administrator in January 2026. Denise is married and the mother of two. She enjoys singing in the Zion Choir and her favorite hobby is crocheting amigurumi.  You can contact Denise by email at: zion_office@att.net.
