Christian Education at Zion
Church School for Children
A joyful noise emanates from our Church School
as our very active children enjoy learning about Jesus and his
family and friends with the help of their teachers and aides.
Classes are divided by age with the appropriate level of instruction
and material and are held during the first part of the Sunday
service. Children continue to learn as they join their families
and the rest of the congregation at the Peace to share in the
Eucharist. There are Pre-K through 5th. grade classes.
Check the latest issue of Crossroads for all the interesting things our children are up to.
Journey to Adulthood
Journey to Adulthood is our program of development
for our youth. These young people are charged with the responsibility
to use wisely the creative gifts given them by God. They enjoy
fun and camaraderie as well as opportunities to mature in their
faith. The congregation, their parents, teachers, and peers strive
to do all in their power to stand beside them, pray for them,
and support them in this journey. This is a six year program for each group. We currently have two active
JTA groups at Zion. We have had four JTA groups already complete their Journeys
Church School for Grown-ups
A chance to explore spiritual issues in an
informal setting is offered for adults on occasional Sunday mornings
at 9:00 a.m. (between services) Topics to explore are suggested
by parishioners and are covered in a short series of sessions
(from 1-6 weeks in length.) A light breakfast and child care
are provided. A summer book group affords parishioners an opportunity to enjoy each others company and to share ideas in a less formal setting.
The
Nursery on Notch Hill
The Nursery on Notch Hill is owned and operated
by the Church and has programs for children ages 3, 4 and a Pre-K

has been in existence for 35 years. It has sessions on M/W/F
and T/Th in the AM and follows the North Branford school
schedule. The School is located beneath the Parish Hall (separate
entrance from the parking lot). Please come for a visit and check
the latest issue of Crossroads for their current activities.
