If you only read one book, read this one. It is short yet comprehensive and profound with an excellent short history and good references.

Francis Mac Nutt            Healing, 25th Anniversary Edition       Ave Maria Press  1999

This is the classic book on Healing

The Nearly Perfect Crime Chosen Books        2005

This is an excellent comprehensive history of healing prayer – it’s origins, how it nearly died and is emerging again.  Very readable.

 

Russ Parker           Healing Wounded History Pilgrim Press  2001

Interesting discussion about the healing of peoples and  places.

Morris Maddocks            The Christian Healing Ministry          SPCK            1995

Bishop Morris Maddocks is one of the champions of healing in the Anglican Church. He is the founder of Acorn Christian Healing Foundation. 

John Woolmer                         Healing and Deliverance        Monarch Books  1999

A very interesting and practical book.  Easy to read with great insights.

Morton Kelsey                        Healing and Christianity      Augsburg  1995

Another classic.  Kelsey has a comprehensive history of healing prayer, but it is light in the most current new events.  He covers a lot of psychology.
